Safer Web surfing

There are plenty of threats to your privacy and safety on the Web. Fortunately, there are also some very good options to keep you safe, such as antivirus and anti-malware software.

But how do you become susceptible to attacks in the first place? There's an Internet equivalent to hanging out in bad neighborhoods at night: visiting sketchy websites. Just don't go there!

So how can you tell which websites are suspicious? Download Web of Trust. It's an add-on for Web browsers that helps you know which sites are dangerous. You can also contribute by rating websites for content.

Just add it to your browser and a little symbol will show up next to your search results. Green is "safe," yellow means "use caution" and red means "avoid at all costs!" You'll need to sign up using an email address to install Web of Trust.
