Is your inbox filling up? And your stress level—is it going up, too? You need productivity tools.
There are plenty of productivity-boosting programs. They’ll help streamline your everyday tasks. Here are six free ones I like:
DisplayFusion – Multiple monitors can be a big help. If you often work in two documents, or a document and the Web, this is for you. Windows is easy to set up. But you’ll need a program to fine tune your monitors. This program lets you customize multiple desktops.
SearchMyFiles – The first step in any project is finding the right files. Newer computers have a built-in search function. But it isn’t very customizable. This program allows you to search for dozens of file attributes. It is much more accurate.
Fotosizer – High-resolution photos require large file sizes. That makes them a pain to e-mail or upload to a site. But Fotosizer lets you quickly resize batches of photos.
Launchy – You may work with lots of programs. But who needs all those shortcuts? You could go through the Start menu. That’s a pain, too. Launchy solves this problem. You can launch any program with a few keystrokes.
