If you take a quick peek around your computer area, I'm betting you'll see at least one flash drive. Most computer users have one or two handy.

That's because flash drives store a lot of information, aren't easily damaged and cost very little to buy. It's the perfect combination.

Of course, using them does have one complication. I've talked before about the important of ejecting your drives from your computer before unplugging them. If you don't know why that's important, go back and read my handy tip.

Unfortunately, Windows' way to eject drives - Safely Remove Hardware - isn't as easy to use as it could be. You have to click on an icon, click through a few screens, select the right option and eject it.

Fortunately, there's a better way.
