If you have an ereader, I don’t have to extol the virtues of these handy devices. You can carry an entire library to read anywhere!
Of course, it is expensive to fill an ereader with the latest bestsellers. But if you’re a fan of literary classics, you’ll find thousands of free, legal titles. Just visit Project Gutenberg.
The ebooks will work on popular ereaders like the Kindle and even with your iPad. Want to stay home? You can even read them on your PC.
Don’t need ebooks? How about audiobooks? This site has plenty of free, legal audio files, too. You can download audiobooks to listen to on your music player or computer.
Many of the books are narrated by people, and others are read by a computer-generated voice. Oh, did I mention that you can choose books in many languages? It’s fantastic!
There’s more on Project Gutenberg’s site, too. You’ll find sheet music, videos and pictures. There are even music files for you music fans.
Have fun downloading guiltlessly from the site!
Once you’ve found a title that you’re interested in, click the appropriate download link for your ereader. Most ereaders will use the EPUB format, but anyone with a Kindle will need to click on the Kindle download link.
You can also choose to send the book link to Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive so you can be sure to get your favorite books wherever you have a Wi-Fi connection.
