Did you know that your Internet browser is bilingual? Well, it's true, but probably not in the way that you imagine.

You type in website names to find websites, like komando.com for instance. But your computer uses a completely different system, it's basically a different language. To it, www.komando.com is really 66.102.7.104. That number is known as an IP address, and aren't you glad you don't have to remember it?

What makes this translation possible? A Domain Name System, or DNS, server. A DNS server compiles lists of website names that match each IP address. However, most DNS servers have incomplete lists. This means your request could be filtered through many different servers before the site is loaded.

If you can find a server with a more complete list, then websites will appear faster. That's just one way that this program can speed up your Internet.
