Do you ever have a hard time reading words on a computer screen? Or, do you know someone who does?

If so, the emails you write to other people don't do them much good. That can become a problem if they need to read an important document, like a contract, or a doctor's recommendations.

Or, maybe you have a child or grandchild who'd learn to read faster if they could hear someone speak the words they're reading. They can do that with an easy-to-use site called Balabolka.

Balabolka uses the Microsoft Speech application programming interface (SAPI), and the Microsoft Speech Platform, to turn your written words into spoken words. It can use your voice to read the text, using a voice file you've saved to your computer.

Or, simply choose a pre-installed voice, either the Microsoft David Desktop or the Microsoft Zira Desktop, and let it turn your written words into spoken words. (Option >> Voice.)

Note: To have the contents of a Web page read to you, try this free download.
