Choosing colors can be overwhelming. If you've ever had to choose a color to paint the rooms in your house, or if you paint or create computer graphics for fun or work, you know there are endless colors and color combinations to choose from.

If you have an eye for graphic design, of if you've worked professionally as a designer or artist, choosing colors and combinations may be second nature to you. But, for the rest of us, there's a website that can help.

Just Color Picker was created for professional graphic designers, but it's an easy-to-use, helpful site for arts-and-crafts hobbyists, too. Plus, it's free, so you have nothing to lose, if you just want to give it a shot.

Just Color Picker can help you visualize how colors will work together, or how well the text in your image will pop out. When you're in a program, like Paint, you can highlight an area with Just Color Picker. Then, play around with color combinations.

It uses color wheels, like the Red-Yellow-Blue (RYB) and Cyan-Magenta-Yellow (CMY), to let you look at colors. It also lets you create your own colors, which you can save. And it creates transition colors for you, so one color blends into the next color. (See photos this page, next page.)
