How secure is your computer? Which websites are open, and do they pose a potential threat?

It's not always easy to figure it out. You can hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete >> Task Manager >> Applications, to see which websites and programs are running.

That list is helpful, but it only shows you what's going on with your computer. With PortExpert, you can see every Internet connection on your computers, meaning you can monitor them for potential threats.

You can select the Show System Processes tab or the Show Local Connections tab. These will list out folders you've got open and Internet connections that are live.

In many cases, you'll recognize all the websites you have open. But, if you're unsure about a site, highlight it to get more information about it.

You'll see four tabs become active. Highlight WhoIs to get linked to that domain database. There you can see which city and country a website is located in, and get its IP address. Click on Search to get online information about the highlighted application.
