How to compare fonts the right way

When was the last time you checked out the fonts in your word processor? When I create invitations and banners, I like to see what fun fonts there are to spice up my projects.

It may take you a while to find just the right font for your own project, especially if you don't know what fonts you have. The right font can make or break a party invitation or a bake sale flyer.

What most folks do is create the project template, then highlight the text they want to change, and scroll through the font selections. There's nothing wrong with this technique, but there's a better and faster way to see what font will work best for whatever you're creating.
