Keeping your computer's hard drive clutter-free is a very wise idea. It frees up space and lets your computer run more smoothly.
The good news is that there are plenty of tools available to accomplish this. The bad news is that sometimes files will be locked or inaccessible. And as you may already know, a locked file can be thrown away - even if it is useless and just hogging valuable disk space.
You might get errors when trying to move or delete a file - Windows could say that the file is locked or in use. Sometimes this is a bug in the system and there isn't anything you can do to correct it.
