Get credit reports for free

Identity theft is a serious concern in the digital world. One way to keep identity thieves at bay is to check your credit report regularly.

At AnnualCreditReport, you can obtain your free credit report once a year from each of the three reporting agencies - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. I recommend requesting a report from one company every four months. That should be enough monitoring for anybody.

Also be sure to check what's in your file for accuracy and unauthorized activity. If you come across suspicious activity, there are resources in the FAQ section designed to help you.
