Alternatives to the iPhone
Apple’s iPhone has taken the world by storm. It’s the most praised device in any market. It really has revolutionized cell phones and mobile computing. But it isn’t the only top-quality phone available.
If you’re enamored with the iPhone, I doubt you’ll be disappointed. The iPhone comes in two models – 3G and 3GS. The 3G has 8 GB of storage for $100. Or pick up the 3GS in 16 GB ($200) or 32 GB ($300) models. You’ll also have to sign a two-year contract with AT&T.
But many have found that the iPhone is not for them. Some are not willing to switch to AT&T. Others don’t find the features they want. And I’m sure some just don’t like Apple.
If the iPhone isn’t for you, there are alternatives. See if these strike your fancy:
BlackBerry Bold (AT&T)
BlackBerry is the big name in cell phones for business users. No phone has a sharper focus on productivity. It features powerful e-mail, calendar and organization applications.
The company recently launched an application store. You can only access the store through the phone. There is no Web or software interface like Apple’s.
