Must-have photo apps

What if you could snap a photo with sound instead of touch? Vapp allows you trigger your iPhone camera with any sound. That lets you shoot pictures without even touching the camera! It also monitors for background noise so you won't accidentally take a bad photo.

ThrowMeApp (Free; Android) - ThrowMe is a dangerous yet very clever app that lets you take cool aerial photos of yourself. How? By throwing your phone, of course! This app uses the phone's gyroscope to sense when it's at the peak of its arc and the camera is facing down to take the picture.

The effect is really cool, but it may take some practice to get the hang of it. Make sure you catch your phone gently or that it lands on something soft! Please don't break your phone or injure anybody with it. It's a fun app, just be careful!

Beamr (Free; iOS) - If you like to share your iPhone photos on Facebook, you may have noticed that the image quality is pretty low. What happened? Your iPhone 4S or 5 takes photos at a whopping 8 megapixels!

Your iPhone reduces the image quality for Facebook uploads to 0.7 megapixels. That's why you might like Beamr. It lets you quickly upload full resolution photos to Facebook, Twitter and email or create personal photo magazines.
